Good Women Association (GWA) is a women-led, not-for-profit organization advancing the rights, dignity, and agency of vulnerable women, girls, and children in Nigeria.
In the heart of Nigeria, where many women and young girls face social and economic barriers, the Good Women Association Ajeromi Railway Line (GWA) was born out of a deep commitment to change lives. What started as a small network of peer educators—trained under the Society for Family Health (SFH) MARF Project—has grown into a powerful movement advocating for gender justice, public health, and economic empowerment.
GWA is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to uplifting vulnerable women, Our journey has been one of resilience, hope, and unwavering dedication to ensuring that every woman and girl has the opportunity to lead a healthy, empowered, and dignified life.

From a small network of passionate individuals to a recognized force for change, our story is rooted in the desire to uplift vulnerable women and girls in the Ajeromi Railway Line community of Lagos, Nigeria.
Inspired by the challenges faced by women and girls in Ajeromi Railway Line, a dedicated group of peer educators, trained under the SFH MARF Project, envisioned a brighter future.
The Good Women Association Ajeromi Railway Line (GWA) was officially established, marking the beginning of a formal movement for change.
GWA began its vital work, reaching out to vulnerable women, particularly female sex workers, providing support, education, and pathways to empowerment.
We received official recognition from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), solidifying our commitment and legitimacy.
The Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) approved GWA, enhancing our ability to contribute to public health initiatives.
The United States Federal Government recognized GWA, underscoring our impact and dedication to our mission.
